USAF PILOTS FROM 1950s AND F4 PHANTOMS FROM VIETNAM WAR

APRIL 2010- A special presentation of photos i own which show pilots from Korean war era – late 1950s USAF.

Photos of various USAF pilots and F-86 Sabres and F-84 Thunderbolts.

Also a special lot of Vietnam war USAF Phantom photos i own.
These photos show a KC-135 Stratotanker refuelling a few F-4 Phantoms which were flying out of Thailand to bomb North Vietnam. The photos date from late 1972 due to various clues on the Phantoms such as tail code markings, external formation light stripes and the gun housing on the nose of the F4 Phantoms.

The F-4E Phantoms are from the 4th TFW normally based at Seymour Johnson AFB tail code SJ and 33rd TFW – ED tail code normally at Elgin AFB.
The F-4D Phantoms with FP tail code are from 8th TFW based at Ubon in Thailand.
